About the Concerts

The 2 p.m. concert features Bob Seeley – “best boogie woogie player on the planet,” according to Dick Hyman; Kenny “Blues Boss” Wayne – multiple-award winning blues, boogie-woogie, jazzman known as “Blues Boss”; Josh Paxton – New Orleans pianist/leader and sideman with Crescent City greats performing New Orleans Rhythm & Blues piano; Alfred “Uganda” Roberts – Professor Longhair’s percussionist and New Orleans conga master; Craig Brenner – “Indiana’s finest,” festival founder, leader of Craig & The Crawdads; Gordon Bonham/guitar, Joe Donnelly/sax,Ron Kadish/bass, and Dan Hostetler/drums; and “Finale” with performers.

The 5:30 p.m. concert features Bob Seeley – “best boogie woogie player on the planet”; Bill Sims, Jr. – multi-instrumentalist, founder of the Heritage Blues Orchestra; Rob Rio – virtuoso boogie woogie and jump blues pianist who has excited audiences for 35+ years; Kenny “Blues Boss” Wayne – multiple-award winning blues, boogie-woogie, jazzman known as “Blues Boss”; Mitch Woods – torchbearer of jump n’ boogie outfits of the late ’40s/early ’50s, creator of “rock-a-boogie”; Alfred “Uganda” Roberts/New Orleans conguero, Gordon Bonham/guitar, Joe Donnelly/sax, Ron Kadish/bass, and Dan Hostetler/drums; and “Grand Finale” with all performers.
